INSULATION MATERIALS
Rockwool is inorganic spun fibers made from natural rocks and minerals bonded by organic binder. It is non-combustible, suitable for thermal insulation, fire protection and sound absorption/noise reduction. Available in 4 forms; MG Board, MG Wired Blanket, MG Mighty Roll & MG Mighty Cover. Service temperature: 50 C to 650 C.
Kimmco Glasswool are manufactured from stable glass fibres bonded with thermosetting resins. They are light in weight, strong, resilient and easy to handle. It is used for thermal and/or acoustic insulations of all buildings walls and roofs. Available in 3 forms; Building Roll, Building Slab & Ducting. Service temperature: Fibre 230 °C; FSK 100 °C; Vinyl 80 °C; Metallized polyester 80 °C.
A white rigid hydrous calcium silicate insulation for all types of heated equipments, vessels and piping in power stations and process industries. Service temperature: 100 C to 650 C.
A light-weight, rigid material composed of millions of completely sealed glass cells, each cell is an insulating entity with the following benefits; fire protection, physical strength, corrosion / moisture / vermin resistance, constant insulating efficiency & long term dimensional stability. Might be suitable for industrial piping, tanks & equipment, Roofs, Walls, Floors, Ceilings, Plazas and Parking Decks. Maximum service temperature: 550 C.
Generally known as one of the most efficient cold insulation materials. It is made of isocyanate and polyether, which are easily reacted and resinized with urethance couplings. It can be used for cold and low temperature insulation materials for all types of equipments, vessels, tanks, trains, ships, airplanes, houses, cold-storages, etc. Maximum service temperature: 120 C.
Powdery material extremely light in weight and composed of minor airtight bubbles, made by crushing perlite (glassy igneous rock) into certain particle size and rapidly heated and it expands 20 times its' original volume. It is excellent thermal insulation properties for high and low temperature. Service temperature: -200 C to 1000 C.
A group of hydrated laminar minerals which are aluminium-iron-magnesium silicates, resembling mica in appearance. Rock and other impurities are removed from the crude ore which is then crushed and sorted into sizes. Vermiculite is a safe inert material and is light in colour. It is non-combustible, and are insoluble in water and all organic solvents. It also has a high insulation value, acoustic-insulating properties and will absorb a wide range of liquid. Service temperature: 0 C to 1100 C.
The aluminium jacketing can be used as a moisture barrier, which helps to prevent galvanic or chemical corrosion caused by contact of dissimilar metals and also soluble salts present in most industrial insulations.
Generally used as a building roof insulation. It made of elastic, strong, safe and environmentally friendly materials. Aluminium Foil can be reflecting the sun's heat radiation, prevent the water from leaking, shielding the ceiling from damage because of the hot weather, and could help keeping the ceiling clean and free of dust. It is practical and easy to install. Commonly applied together with the glasswool, rockwool and ceiling boards.
Glasscloth is commonly used in the wrapping of mineral or rockwool or fiberglass wool to make insulation pillows and in oven lining applications. Woven with a smooth non-irritable finish, it easily wraps around uneven surfaces to provide an effective outer layer protection against unwanted heat energy. Available in a lot of types together with the standard sizes.
Fire Resistive Anti-Abrasion Coating is a high solids, water-based fire resistive bore coating for the inner surfaces of cellular glass, rigid polyurethane, urea-formaldehyde, or polyisocyanurate foam insulation to reduce abrasion from vibration and temperature changes of piping or vessels. Its strong adhesive qualities through a wide temperature range permit its use on extremely low temperature and dual temperature equipment.
